Great spot, very lively and no doubt one of the places to be. The starters where very good but the main dishes a disappointment, I’ve had much better Greek food elsewhere. Service was good.

I had reservations for Kokkari for lunch and it was perfect. My friend got the cheese appetizer and I got a salad for mine. She ordered lamb chops for her main and I order the butter nut ravioli. My dish was so good I wish there were more of it! The lamb chops are always a great choice but I wanted to try something different. And I’m glad I did cause the ravioli was delicious! We had a wonderful lunch and it was a beautiful day! Cheers

Excellent upscale Greek restaurant on quiet and beautiful Jackson Street.High ceilings, open fireplace where meat is slowly roasting, wooden furniture and dim lighting make the place extremely cosy albeit a bit noisy.Food is excellent - the fried cheese and octopus are highly recommended appetizers, and grilled fish is spectacular.We visit the place yearly to celebrate business achievements - can’t wait until next February!

We have been to this outstanding Greek restaurant several times in the past and have never been disappointed. We started our meal with a traditional wine from Crete that was outstanding. We then ordered the grape leaves appetizer, followed by the grilled lamb chops and the lamb and beef pie (moussaka) both of which were outstanding. We finished our meal with two traditional Greek coffees since we were completely full after the meal and had no room for dessert. We truly enjoyed this upscale and yet relaxed atmosphere for dinner and will keep on coming back in the future.

Incredible food. The ambiance was amazing, and the food was clearly prepared with incredible ingredients and talent. We ordered a variety of dishes including the stake, lamb, meatballs appetizer and desserts. If you enjoy Greek food I highly recommend this place.

Definitely a San Francisco must when visiting. Make sure to book ahead, especially on the weekends. Seating at the bar is adequate if you can’t get a reservation. Atmosphere is lively and great for people watching. The food is simply phenomenal. They have many signature dishes including the soup pictured in my post. Another dish that is a must try is the rack of lamb. The restaurant also has an assortment of house drinks along with a great wine selection.

Amazing Mediterranean food in a cozy environment. Kokkari is a perfect lunch or dinner spot. Everything here is amazing! We had the crispy zucchini cakes with yogurt dressing for an appetizer and it was great. The souvlaki lamb skewers were to die for!The desserts were all delicious and the coffee as well. Try the Greek coffee is a must have as well.

Attention to detail was phenomenal. They took care of everything and attended to the children's table with exceptions to the menu that kids would eat. They made my son's 50th birthday party so special and memorable.

Kokkari Estiatorio is a very nice restaurant. I love the lamb and my husband love the pasta that they served. The interior and exterior of the place was simple but attractive. The restaurant was well-maintained and clean. The crew were very nice, friendly and accommodating. I recommend that you try Kokkari Estiatoria!

I’ve had so many amazing meals here. I always go for one of the lamb entrees. Also don’t underestimate the bar. They make fantastic cocktails.

Delicious and very authentic Greek food! Make sure to try the grilled cheese and lamb skewers. Their dessert menu is also incredible (special highlight to the pistachio ice cream and semolina custard). Lastly, their service is outstanding, our waitress Helen was super nice and knowledgeable.

This place is my absolute favorite restaurant in San Francisco when I visit. I love Greek food, and this place does it best. Expensive for sure, but worth it. Many times I have tried to make a reservation and they are full, but I have always been able to walk in and get a seat at the bar where they serve their full menu... And the atmosphere is great!

I really appreciate the quality of the food here for it was very satisfying. The place was cozy enough that made you feel comfortable while savoring the taste of the food. And also, they have a professional and expert chef who cooked the food so tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and colleagues.

Easily some of the best food I have ever enjoyed! The persimmon salad was out of this world, and I highly recommend goat stew. But honestly there wasn't a single thing we tried that I wouldn't recommend! I will definitely come again next time I am in the area!

Went here for a team dinner for the first time. There was 10 of us. We arrived late, thanks SF traffic, and they were very understanding and waited for us. The wait staff was helpful, informative, and friendly. Food came on time and hot. Drinks were served very timely. I had the ribeye cooked medium and it was perfect. The desserts were delicious! Keep in mind, desserts are for sure a shareable size :)

Don't expect anything too creative but they do constantly deliver solid Greek fare in a cozy ambience! Acme bread to start and multiple fish specials daily for you to choose from with an extensive wine list.

Classic. Iconic. Consistent. While I'm not in favor of my neighborhood go-to being so busy all the time and on the more expensive side, this place has been there forever for a reason. The servers and bartenders (sitting at the bar can be a fun experience) are seriously top notch. The food is always delicious, clean, and satiating.

Beautiful restaurant downtown SF serving traditional Greek food. Service is very professional, food is prepared well and presented in a simple way. Price is high and the wait can be long if you don’t have a reservation. Plenty of business people, wealthy crowd, celebrities are populating this spot. Very astonishing to get Greek foods in a restaurant as the main category. These foods taste awesome as well as smell too nice. They use healthy materials and flavored spices that make their dishes yummier than others. Grilled lamb chops, Zucchini Cakes are nice.

Looking for the warmth of a Santorini taverna with white tablecloth service? Kokkari manages to be graciously inviting and down to earth while still delivering on impeccable food, wine, and service. On a recent trip we enjoyed the classic Saganaki starter and grilled fish, which never disappoints. Save room for Greek desserts, especially anything with custard. Pro tip: bathrooms are in the basement!

Good portion size. Most dishes were around $40. My lamb skewers was tough and chewy even though it was medium rare. There’s a white string in all my skewers. The halibut and bronzini were delicious but were on the pricey side.

Two weeks ago, my sister and I went to this affordable Korean restaurant. We were so satisfied with their delicious Samgyeopsal and spicy ramen. It was our first time to taste that kind of Korean food. The price was so friendly, and it made us amazed. We decided to visit this place again with our friends. Thanks a lot!

Kokkari just might be my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. It's a great place for a romantic dinner for two or a group outing for a dozen. The ambience, service, and food are excellent. No dish has disappointed so far. Must-tries are the gigante beans, lamb chops, and gypsy cocktail. I recommend getting a reservation, otherwise you may be in for a long wait.
